Battery Digital TV

Do You Have a Battery Digital TV for Emergency Backup?

A digital TV that runs on battery power is more than just a fun way to watch programs outside, or to take to the ball game so you can watch instant replays when the runner is called safe at home. Especially for people who live in Florida, Texas and other states that are prone to hurricanes and other severe weather that can knock out your electricity, if you have a battery TV available as a back-up, you can keep up to date on the news and weather broadcasts even if you have to watch by candle light.

Most of the battery digital TVs we have seen are small, portable 7-inch size models, but that is really all you need to pull in local broadcasts in case of emergency. Just remember to have well charged spare batteries on hand, because some of these little televisions will only run for two hours without a re-charge.

New Image makes a 7-inch digital TV that runs on batteries and delivers satisfactory picture and sound in a pretty tiny package that retails in the same general price ballpark as Eviant, Prism, iView, Haier, Delstar, Naxa and CTA, which is within the $130 to $160 range. One thing that surprised us when we were shopping for a small portable TV is we could not find them from the major manufacturers such as Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Sharp.

If you are having trouble finding portable battery televisions for sale at your local Best Buy or other big box retailer, our suggestion is to think outside the box and try shopping at a store that sells accessories for RVs, Boats or camping supplies. Another alternative is to shop online at either an internet auction site or a place such as Amazon. You are going to have to wait at least a few days for delivery, but you also might have a wider selection of brands and features available.
